Week 2 - Problems to be solved with the help of AI
-Basem Ghasan Mansoor Ali (TP076027)
The
implementation of Artificial Intelligence, also known as (AI) to automate
repetitive tasks is an effective modern solution that can solve many problems in
all industries, one of the main problems is the stress of labor-intensive work
for employees that can be reduced by time-consuming activities that can be
completed using self-governing frameworks
Moreover,
the integration of AI into repetitive tasks not only improves efficiency but
also reduces the chances of human errors in the execution of intricate
workflows

Across industries, the use of AI-based automation
dramatically increases productivity and reduces waiting times. Artificial
intelligence (AI) systems optimize workflows, reduce errors, and boost accuracy
by automating repetitive tasks. Because of this shortened procedure, tasks can
be completed more quickly, thus increasing productivity. By switching their
efforts to more strategic projects, staff members can maximize resource use and
efficiency. As well as AI automation quickly adjusts to shifting requirements,
guaranteeing that processes continue to run smoothly without requiring a great
deal of manual intervention. Because of its scalability, the company can profit
from time-saving measures even if it expands or experiences demand swings.
AI systems can also detect patterns in vast amounts of data,
evaluate them, and make judgments with little help from humans. This improves
operational effectiveness and lowers the possibility of mistakes, which raises
production and lowers costs. Also, businesses may improve operations through
the vast number of benefits when AI is integrated for automation. These
benefits include time savings, a decrease in human error, improved analytics
capabilities and decision making, improved interconnected interactions, scalability,
etc.

Artificial intelligence is still a fairly new concept with
it being created in the 1960’s and has been rapidly evolving from an
exploratory concept to a business necessity. Due to covid-19, the popularity of
AI took a huge hit in 2020 leading to several researchers and companies
investing in it which can be clearly seen in nearly every major company, some
examples include meta, Samsung, Apple, Uber, Amazon and much more. With the
increase in popularity, AI is used to solve many issues including, but not
limited to, healthcare, education, automation, and optimization.
With that being said, AI would be very useful if used for
cases like:
-Planning a very specialized food or cooking timetable to maximize health
and keep costs low.
-Medical diagnoses and robotic surgery.
-Irrigation systems which self-regulate according to weather patterns.
-Interfaces or chat bots which can help counsel people with issues like
depression or anxiety issues and suicidal
tendencies. (Abdullah, 2024)
While some are being worked on, we face a new problem, will
society accept such power to be given to AI?

Deployment of AI-based automation is able to lead to different channels of cost-savings opportunities in organizations. Technologically, AI enables operational efficiency with its ability to automate processes, allocate resources optimally and minimize downtime. The output, productivity, is maximum and minimum resources are used. This efficiency not only leads to less spending on hiring and getting newly employed to work but also that of physical bulk infrastructure. Another benefit of automation is also that of minimization of risks of human error and violation of norms and rules which gives companies a chance to avoid financial prosecutions and a withdrawal of confidence lost. Moreover, the fact is that by not utilizing human potential in a strategic way is being prevented which is also a lesson because employees will be able to concentrate on activities that lead to innovation and nonstop business growth. Furthermore, AI automation spurs companies to reskill fast and get high volume, real-time results through data processing and outputting, and thus their organizations would be able to adapt to a changing market swiftly before they are to bear the consequences of delaying or a missed chance. All-encompassingly, the cost reduction stemming from AI powered automation manifests itself in the various channels of business operations while at the same time contributing to the healthier income and longevity of companies.

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) is changing how
businesses approach data analysis in the current business environment. Large amounts of consumer data can be sorted through AI algorithms, which
can then extract insightful information that is needed to make wise choices.
Artificial Intelligence efficiently detects complex patterns and trends
that human analysts might miss by automating everyday data analysis tasks. Businesses
can now quickly and accurately make decisions based on data-driven evidence
thanks to this functionality.
It's important to point out that the accuracy of the input data has a major
impact on how accurate the insights produced by AI are. AI's analytical
capabilities develop over time as a result of its ongoing learning from these
data inputs, making it an essential tool for companies seeking to use data
analysis to optimize their operations. Organizations can successfully navigate
and maintain their competitiveness in today's data-centric business environment
by utilizing AI for data analysis.
